Toolbox for OLX is a browser extension that adds a dark theme, a larger photo gallery and price history to OLX websites.
What the extension does with data
- Everything stays on your device. The extension stores its settings and your price history in your browser’s local extension storage (
chrome.storage.local).
- Retention: price history is kept for up to one year per ad; older points are dropped automatically. You can also delete everything with “Clear history”.
- What is stored: your settings (dark mode on/off, gallery option, check interval), and for ads in your OLX favourites: the ad ID, title, link, and the prices the extension has seen with their dates.
- Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. The extension has no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not sell or share data.
- Network requests: to refresh prices, the extension loads pages from the OLX website you are already using (for example your favourites page), using your normal browser session. These requests go only to OLX.
- No account details are read or stored. The extension does not read your password, messages, or payment information.
Your control
- Turn price tracking off at any time in the extension popup. Saved history is kept until you press “Clear history” or remove the extension.
- Removing the extension deletes all of its stored data.
